Un microcosmo schubertiano: il Moment musical op. 94 D. 780 n. 1 e il sottile gioco delle trasformazioni
Angela Carone - pag. 11-33
Franz Schubert’s Moment musical no. 1, op. 94 (D780) is based on the dialectic between a triplet, a dotted quaver and figures originated by its transformation. Their relationships are constantly subverted through transformation of register, metre, and harmony; it follows that a “secondary” element (the dotted quaver) becomes a crucial figure at the formal level. In spite of its shortness, the Moment musical shares its compositional procedures with other pieces by the composer (Octet, Sonatas, Impromptus): for that reason it is an authentic Schubertian “microcosm”.
