Caso e indeterminazione nell’opera musicale: uno strumento didattico per l’analisi della musica aleatoria

Manuel Farolfi - pag. 123-131

Moving forward from the taxonomy presented by Pascal Decroupet in 1997, the intent of this paper is to introduce a new analytical tool applicable to aleatoric music. The principle underlying this tool – conceived as a didactic device – is the definition of the primary structural elements which define a piece of music as aleatoric. Its purpose, in essence, is to provide music teachers with a basic conceptual and graphic tool suitable to teach how to identify those elements, with regard to music scores and compositional systems. Supported by detailed guidelines, this tool has a compact graphic grid layout and has been specifically designed to help teachers to expound an analytical approach to aleatoric music.
